Red Ironbark

(Eucalyptus sideroxylon)
 

Growing in the more arrid areas such as northern Victoria and on the inland slopes of NSW, Red Ironbark is quite slow growing with very close growth rings contributing to it being a relatively stable timber. The heartwood is generally a deep red colouration.
